my ethos
1. It is my unshakeable belief that the way we interface with our media is equally as profound as the artefacts we seek to preserve.
2. Everyone's story is unique, and deserves to be treated as such.
my pricing & workflow
Traditional digitisation services hold your physical media as collateral until restoration is complete, or only provide clients the restored finals. The goal of these practises are to prevent clients from receiving their scanned media and taking them elsewhere for restoration; I find this disagreeable. As part of the digitisation process, I also already keep the primary copies of your media on-hand to check the quality of my scans against. This is also to say nothing of the opaque combination pricing for two separate processes, only to still receive a bulky folder of images you can't accessibly navigate.
While charging separately for scanning and restoration is unorthodox, I justify this through the care I take in making your media is yours. The digital collection you receive post-scanning is intuitively organised and classified according to a file management structure unique to the needs of your collection. For labelled media, I also include a separate Excel file conveniently compiling any transcribed text by file name.
I offer a transparent, tiered pricing system. I welcome those interested in partial restoration of their media...or none at all.
